Hats for Homeless

Thank you Kate G for this generous donation of knitted hats.  Kate has loomed a variety of sizes here which will serve to warm many heads.  AND yes....it's that time of year already where this is an issue.  While we're having still nice sunny days, our nights have gotten cool, and damp.  The fog this am, as I write this past hasn't yet cleared and it's 9AM.  It's not much better than it was at 6 AM.  It's very damp, you can look out and see the moisture hanging on spider webs and know it can't be comfortable for those living in the elements, even though it's only mid September.  A hat serves to warm and keep dry....being wet makes everyone colder.

Nice work Kate, many thanks for your thoughtfulness in aiding Ohio's Homeless.  Please keep up the good work.

Fall is Here, Homeless Need YOUR Help.

Thank you Mary C for this thoughtful donation.  LOVE the variety of sizes, colors and styles of crocheted cotton washcloths!  Rounds, square...big and small.  You really covered it all.  Mary's also included 2 nice warm hats in great dark colors.

As we gear up for Fall, now that summer's past we're reminded that homeless people do best in darker colors.  They don't have means to do laundry so darker colors work well to not show the dirt...AND darker colors help them not call attention to themselves.  Bright, bold, and pastels aren't as suitable for our friends living in the elements.

Many thanks Mary for your support, hope to see you here often on Bridge and Beyond, as we work to warm Ohio's Homeless.

Please keep up the good work!

Crocheting Warmth to Help Ohio's Homeless

Thank you Emily K for this wonderful donation of crocheted hat, scarf, and headband.  I LOVE the green, it's such a good color for either male or female.  It's also a good color in that it's dark enough it doesn't show dirt.  Emily has also included some personal care items,

Thank you Emily for your thoughtfulness.  Please keep up the good work.

Where are You and Your Yarn From?

I'm trying to identify where everyone is from, partially for fun. Take a look at the map. Also, believe it will aid me in cases where we have several people with the same name. Please look at the lists of bloggers and non bloggers and see if I have the state you hail from. If not, please leave a comment and let me know.

Additionally, we've had help from Scotland, England, Germany Puerto Rico, Canada, and France! They don't appear on the map, but their help is still greatly appreciated.

Where The People Who Donate Come From, is your state represented?
